Armin Abron, DDS, MS

Dr. Abron founded DC Perio & Implants to do specialist periodontal and implant work the way he believed it should be done — with the time to plan cases properly, the technology to plan them precisely, and the surgical discipline to execute predictably. The practice now operates two Washington, DC offices serving patients across the metro area, including a significant population of federal workers, Capitol Hill staff, and members of the international and diplomatic community.

His specialty training pathway runs through a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, a Master of Science in Periodontology, and a periodontics residency that included the surgical management of advanced cases. He then completed a multi-year Master Clinician program in Frankfurt, Germany focused specifically on periodontology and implant therapy — work that shaped how he approaches the foundation of every case he plans today.

Clinically, Dr. Abron's practice concentrates on the cases where specialist training matters most. He performs full-arch implant reconstruction for patients with failing dentition or terminal dentition who want a planned, stable transition rather than years of patchwork. He places implants where the bone and gum require pre-surgical preparation — ridge augmentation, sinus lift, soft tissue grafting around the implant for long-term health. He treats gum recession both with traditional connective tissue grafting and with the minimally invasive Chao Pinhole technique. He treats advanced periodontal disease with LANAP laser therapy and regenerative grafting when the case fits.

Patients are typically referred by their general dentist for one of three reasons: an implant case where the foundation needs specialist attention, terminal dentition where the choice between staged extraction and full-arch reconstruction is on the table, or advanced gum disease that has progressed past what a general dentist's hygiene appointment can manage. Self-referrals are also welcome — no formal referral is required.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Abron places significant emphasis on continuing education for himself and for the dentists who refer cases to him. The practice hosts periodic case-review sessions and continuing-education events for the dental community. He has lectured nationally on full-arch case planning and the periodontal management of implant patients.

Dr. Abron grew up partly in Frankfurt and is fluent in multiple languages — an asset for DC Perio's international patient population. He has lived in Washington, DC for years and is active in the local dental community.
