Meet our team
The team behind the doctors.
Periodontal surgery is the doctor’s work. Specialist care — the full experience of being a patient at DC Perio — is the team’s. The team makes scheduling, communication, comfort, and follow-through reliable. Every team member, both locations.
Who you’ll meet
Four roles, one standard.
The team is structured around the patient’s journey — not around departments. From your first call to your maintenance appointments years later, you’ll meet team members in each of these roles.
Treatment Coordinators
Your first point of contact when you call or arrive. Treatment coordinators walk you through paperwork, insurance verification, scheduling, and the practical logistics of getting care.
Responsibilities
- New-patient intake and registration
- Insurance verification and financial coordination
- Scheduling consultations and surgical appointments
- Patient-question follow-up between visits
Dental Hygienists
Specialist-trained hygienists who deliver periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, and ongoing care for patients who have completed treatment. They are the team that protects the investment of your surgery year after year.
Responsibilities
- Periodontal maintenance appointments (typically every 3-4 months)
- Scaling and root planing for non-surgical gum disease therapy
- Patient education on home-care routines
- Coordination with your general dentist's hygienist team
Surgical Assistants
Experienced assistants who work chairside with the doctors during surgical procedures. They prepare the surgical environment, support the doctor during procedures, and walk patients through post-operative instructions.
Responsibilities
- Pre-surgical preparation and sterile setup
- Chairside support during implant, grafting, and periodontal surgery
- Post-operative instructions and follow-up coordination
- Patient comfort and reassurance during procedures
Patient-Experience Staff
The people who shape what it feels like to be a patient here — at the front desk, in the consultation rooms, on the phone, and after your appointment. They are part of the clinical team, not separate from it.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and check-in
- Communication between visits
- Coordination with referring offices
- Reminder calls and care follow-up
Our commitments
What you should expect from the team — every visit.
We respect your time.
We schedule conservatively so we are not running 45 minutes behind by mid-morning. If we are running late, you'll hear it from us, not see it on the clock.
We explain what's happening.
You leave every appointment knowing what was done, what comes next, and what to expect at home. If we miss that, ask — and we'll fix it.
We communicate between visits.
Calls get returned. Referrals get documented. Your general dentist hears back from us. Your insurance questions get answered.
We treat you the same way at the front desk and in the chair.
The standard is consistent — across both locations, across every appointment, with every team member.
